You’ll learn not only the history of the city, its ups and downs, but also the urban myths, the jokes the citizens have about their town, the adventures of the university students and how this young party-people are giving life to the city. At the end of the tour you’ll discover the historical “must see’s” of Ghent, and also you’ll know where the locals like to go for a drink and to have a good lunch or dinner.
The tour is about 2 hours and it covers the main highlights of the city. We’ll be happy to see you there no matter if the weather is good or bad. If it’s rainy just take your umbrella and your smile and join the tour!
At the exit of Gent Sint-Pieters railway station, take the tram number 1 in the direction of “Evergem”. The ride takes around 10 minutes. You should get off at the stop “Korenmarkt”. The meeting point is located 50 meters away from the Korenmarkt.
At the exit of Gent Dampoort railway station, take the bus number 3 in the direction of “Mariakerke Post”. The ride takes around 15 minutes. You should get off at the stop “Korenmarkt”. The meeting point is located 50 meters away from the Korenmarkt.
There are two European highways (E17 and E40) that cross each other in Ghent. When getting off at E17, you should take the exit “Gent Centrum”. On the contrary, when getting off at E40, you should initially continue in the direction of “Antwerpen” (E17), and then take the exit “Gent Centrum”. Afterwards, you have to follow the parking route (P-route). Follow the indications to Parking Sint-Michiels (472 spaces), which is the closest one to the meeting point.
